What's New in Version 2.4.62
★ 2Do's icon and bottom paper-edge 'straightened up' for people with (or without) OCD
★ Tags are now sorted alphabetically
★ A number of stability fixes
★ Fixed 'project losing sub-tasks' issue when tasks created in toodledo
★ Fixed occasional 'resurrection' of completed tasks when syncing with Outlook
★ Fixed 'cannot scroll down tags list to the end' issue when entering from 'Search'
★ Fixed 'Call Action' sync issues when using Toodledo and two or more devices. 2Do now still displays the original contact name added to the task even if that contact does not exist in user's address book
★ Fixed an issue where deleted alarms would at times ressurect
★ A number of other UI fixes and improvements
★ Recurring tasks can be given an end date. You can either select an end date or specify the number of times it can repeat (between 1 and 99)
★ Revised priority mapping with Toodledo as per user suggestions
★ Stability fixes with sync at launch & exit
★ Fixed bug with toodledo advanced repeat rules
★ Fixed bottom bar hiding issues in low memory conditions when launch password is set
★ Several optimizations and performance improvements
★ Attached photos are now stored inside 2Do's database and can be backed-up and restored just like voice notes
★ MobileMe users can now sync attached Images and Audio notes to other devices running 2Do. This can be optionally turned OFF from Settings > Sync
★ 'Sync at Launch and Exit' options can be switched ON and used at the same time
★ Option added to close sync view after a successful sync is performed
★ Alarms now sync across to other devices running 2Do when syncing with Toodledo
★ Auto-backup now performed every 48 hours in case you haven't synced your database for that period of time (and also in case you don't sync at all). Ensures extra safety and recovery of important data
★ 'Focus' mode can now take a combination of a number of available options instead of being able to pick only one. You can now pick your own combo and focus on whatever you like quickly.
★ On the iPhone, Landscape calendar can now filters on all tasks even if 'Focus' is currently selected. There is a setting for this under 'ToDos > Focus'
★ Nw App-Badge options: Over Due; Starred OR Today
★ Duplicating a task now also duplicates its attachments
★ 2Do now remembers last IP of a directly connecting machine (where Bonjour fails to work) and attempts to auto-connect without having to manually enter IP information again
★ Snooze now has a 'Always Ask' option. Tapping Snooze on an alert will present you with a roller to select the number of minutes
★ Ability to remove due date from multiple tasks in edit mode
★ 'Today' tab now displays today's date at the top on the iPhone
★ Soundex Search can be optionally turned OFF from switching on by default from settings
★ Added a new reserved keyword to be able to filter on all tasks that are not projects, checklists or sub-tasks: "type:task"
★ Starred tasks now get sorted and displayed above high priority tasks in a list by default. This behaviour can be changed from 'Settings > ToDos'
★ Quick future date entry roller added to Due Date screen.
★ When Grouped dates are ON, tasks now show 'Tomorrow' or 'Yesterday' instead of a short date stamp for clarity
★ Adding a task with a due date into the special Birthday or an Anniversary calendars will automatically mark these as Birthday or Anniversary tasks respectively
★ Landscape enabled Tags and Locations view
★ Due year now shows on a task when year is not this year
★ You can now optionally always display completed project or checklist sub-tasks irrespective of your currently set 'Show Done in Tasks' setting. See 'Show Done in Tasks' setting.

Powerful and Flexible
What a relief—they straightened up the icon! I can relax now. Come to think of it, I liked the old icon with tabs better. Bring it back!
I keep this app in my dock; the only app I use more is email. It's very flexible and nuanced. I find the UI fairly straightforward, and where it's not, the learning curve is totally worth it. the only thing I wish for is event support, though with the options available, I can force it to work much like an event calendar.
The developers are very responsive in the forum and obviously care about both the needs and whims of users, considering the cosmetic changes they just made. Well worth the modest investment if you need to organize.
Missing the lighthearted look & color
Irving Gonzales write:
Just got the latest update. Sadly, over time the logo has evolved from a neat little design with multi colors reflecting (happiness to some) the features built into the app itself, to now being a bland wallet with a Post-It note. Gee. Maybe I should just go back to using those sticky notes as reminders, hence the loss of 1 star from me.
Seriously, I jest, but I do miss some of the "don't take yourself so seriously" lightheartedness, but it does not take away from the jewel of an app that has some powerful features under the hood (or behind that logo). I mean really, how many OCD people are there out there that you have to change your app's icon to appease them. Were they the vocal minority?
One of my favorite apps! Incredibly useful.
Tyler Walz write:
I used to keep my ToDo list very simple and honestly picked this app because I thought it looked great (don't judge... I like attractive things). Other than using the separate "Calendars," I really just used it like a list to jot down things I had to do that could also sync with a list at home. And honestly, if you just use it for that, it'll be a good-looking and very functional ToDo app.
At my own pace, I started learning the more robust features (my first was creating an "out and about" tag so that I could quickly filter and see the things I could do when commuting) and that is when this app really took it's place in my top 5 apps. I wear a lot of different hats and the ability to quickly compartmentalize ToDo items for just one area of my life is invaluable.
2Do somehow manages to be both powerful and nimble. Unlike other ToDo apps where I felt like I was spending more time planning my list than executing, 2Do allows me to get info in fast and access it when I need it.
